Ph.D's Corinne Hickson and Christine Lawson, together with acclaimed author/illustrator Anjale Perrault combine to bring both Clinical Psychology expertise together with fine art and motherhood to deliver a special brand of children's books.
Since their first meeting in 2006, the team was committed to bringing only the highest quality to their children's book series. Beginning with the recently released Eli's Surprise, the series continues with several more titles targeted to children and families that focus on the transitions that children experience in their lives.
The team at Peanut Pie shares a collective passion for the healthy development of children.
Christine Lawson, Ph. D.
Each story is written to create a connection between the child and the parent/caregiver. Equipping the
adult with the tools to consciously facilitate the normal process of life transitions, and to assist children
in building new and healthy frameworks of judgment around such events is the foundation of the
group's work.
The essence of the team's work can be broken down into four attributes:
1) Educational – Every story thoughtfully addresses meaningful and essential subject matter for children
2) Credible – All stories are written and edited by specialists in the field of child psychology and parenting
3) Accessible – Each story endeavors to help the audience to feel connected
4) Familiar – Each story is intended to create safety for the child
